Advancing ECG Interpretation Course Information
About the Advancing ECG Interpretation Course
This programme has been written to meet the needs of student and newly registered Paramedics and Nurses, Emergency Medical Technicians, Voluntary Aid Society Responders, Health Care Assistants and anyone with a personal or professional interest in expanding their knowledge of ECG interpretation.
The course will be of particular interest to Registered Health Professionals such as Pharmacists and Physiotherapists entering the urgent or primary care sectors with a responsibility for assessing, referring, treating or discharging service users with medical conditions.
This intensive 1-day course will offer delegates the ability to confidently recognise subtle ECG changes during acute coronary syndromes, diagnose arrythmias such as Wolf Parkinson White and Long QT syndrome, consider electrolyte imbalances such as hyperkalaemia and recognise conditions such as left and right ventricular hypertrophy.
Delegates should be employed in a healthcare field or studying towards a healthcare qualification with a responsibility or a professional interest in interpreting 12 lead EGCS.
Delegates should be familiar with the anatomy and physiology of the heart, have a working knowledge of ECG interpretation and/or have completed the CIPHER 1-day ECG Crammer Course.
On completion of the course delegates will be issued with a certificate of attendance.
