FREC 3 Entry Requirements

As FREC 3 is the entry level course, there are no necessary qualifications required to take this course. A prior knowledge of Basic First Aid or experience in the field would be useful, but again it isn’t essential.

There is an age requirement for the FREC 3 Course though; candidates must be at least 17 years old on the first day of the training course.

There are no other formal entry requirements, though in order to benefit the most from the learning experience we strongly advise that learners have a minimum of Level 2 in Literacy & Numeracy or equivalent.

FREC 3 Certification

Upon the successful completion and passing of the required assessment methods, you’ll be issued a certificate of qualification that’s valid for 3 years. This then enables you to take part in the FREC 4 Training Course if you want to progress down the FREC pathway.

After 3 years, to ensure you stay qualified, your skills are up to date and your qualification remains valid, FREC 3 holders should complete our FREC 3 Recertification Training Course.

How is the FREC 3 Course Assessed?

In order to pass the FREC 3 Training Course and receive your qualification you must successfully complete and pass the following:

  • 6 x practical assessments and/or skills tests
