About the Pre-Hospital Resuscitation & Critical Care Course

This course is aimed at Paramedics, Doctors, Nurses, Fire, Police and Ambulance staff who have a keen interest in Pre-Hospital Resuscitation. The course is designed to build on existing knowledge and experience around resuscitation and adopts a truly multi-professional team approach, recognising “it takes a system to save a life”.

The course is will look at all aspects of pre-hospital resuscitation and is designed to push the microgains of each area to support you in improving overall survival. The practical aspects of the course are designed to take you out of the normal sterile training environment and into the real world via immersive simulation and stress inoculation. In short, this course will push your boundaries of simulated training and create real to life scenarios.

Dress Code

Please ensure you wear practical clothing for the course including outdoor wear. This course will include physical aspects of patient care including CPR, transfer and working in confined environments such as simulated patient homes. We are happy for standard work uniforms to be worn suitable to the pre-hospital environment. As a minimum you will require robust footwear and clothing to allow you to work in an outdoor environment reflective of the time of year the course is being undertaking.

Food & Drink

Tea, Coffee and lunch will be provided whilst attending this course. Should you have any special dietary requirements please inform the undersigned.

Pre-Course Learning<

The course is designed to build on your existing skills and knowledge in a multi professional working environment. No pre-course reading is required but you must have a good grasp of resuscitation appropriate to your skill level. For those holding professional registration and sound understanding of Advanced Life Support is required in advance of the course.

Arrival Time

The course starts at 08:30 on the first day and will finish at 17:00 the following day. Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time as we have a tight timetable and will need to keep to timings to ensure maximum learning benefit.
